Join our Virtual Choir!
Dear parents and carers,
We are delighted to announce that, once again, Greenshaw Learning Trust will be partnering with the remarkable Nigel Ipinson-Fleming to bring you a weekly choir session in your own home this term.
Nigel boasts a comprehensive career in both professional and non-professional music settings, and was the keyboard player for the Stone Roses. More recently, he has worked with a number of schools across the country, and in December he led the combined Greenshaw schools carol concert at Gloucester Cathedral.
Choir is a compulsory part of our Year 7 timetable so will be set on Google Classroom, but we are writing to you to extend the offer to all year groups and to you and your family! Music is a wonderful way to raise your spirits at home, and to remind yourself of the wider school community we all belong to.
If you’d like to join in, here’s how:
Part 1 14:00 |
Go to www.nigelif.com/singspiration and sing along with Nigel’s tutorial. This will include an intro, a vocal warm up, songs, a positive thought and a performance, and will be available from 14:00 |
Part 2 14:45 |
Following the pre-recorded session, Nigel will host a 15 minute live get together at www.instagram/com/nigelif
Please note, for safeguarding reasons, students will be able to see Nigel, but not the other way round. |
Part 3 15:00 |
If you’re keen to get started, backing tracks for next week will be uploaded at www.nigelif.com/singspiration for you to get practising! |
We really hope you will join us for what will be a fantastic time each week together.
While we won’t actually see each other, or hear each other sing (some sigh with relief), we
will know that we are joining together to celebrate music at the same time each Friday.
We look forward to enjoying this experience with you – from our own homes, of course!
Kind regards,
