Parent letter term 1 (2023)
Dear Parent/Carer,
We are delighted once again to have a fortnightly lesson of PSHE in the curriculum for Yr’s7-10. The decision was made to support the new statutory guidelines to implement Health Education (HE) and Relationship Sex Education (RSE).
As an Academy, we recognise the importance and value of delivering this curriculum, providing our young people within our school community with the opportunity to learn and discuss a range of topics in a well-informed and supportive environment. Each term will consist of approximately six lessons of PSHE, as well as Careers lessons and Study Skills on the alternate week. The PSHE topics being studied during Term 1 are:
