Holmleigh Park High School

Sixth form results 2024

Students at Holmleigh Park were celebrating today after receiving their Sixth Form Results.

Top achiever Fabio Valente Gomes achieved three A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and is now going on to Warwick University. Fabio reflected on the moment he opened his results, commenting “I was relieved and very happy. I know that I’d put the work over the two years. I’ve had brilliant support here from my teachers.” He also advised younger students that you have to “put in the work when no one else is willing to do it” and that “the time you put in always pays off.”

Also celebrating was Niamh Hastings-Worth, who achieved A, A, B in French, Maths and Further Maths. Niamh is commencing a year in industry before starting a higher apprenticeship. Niamh said “I am surprised, as I didn’t think I would do as well as this, so I am very happy. My teachers helped me a lot over the two years and gave me so much support. I would say to any young students to always follow your teachers’ guidance and be prepared to work very hard in your own time.”

There was similar success for vocational students, with Harry Jordan securing triple Distinction* in his Extended Diploma in Information Technology. This will see him heading off to the University of the West of England to study Cyber Security. Harry’s initial reflection was that “it hasn’t sunk in yet. The two years went by so fast, but my teachers have been amazing and I can’t thank them enough for believing in me. The staff are so friendly and the facilities are great.”

Commenting on the results, Headteacher Dan Hudson concluded: “We are very proud of all the HP students receiving their results today. It has been a pleasure to see their excitement today as they look forward to moving on to the next phase of their life. A huge thank you to all of our staff for their dedication to enabling our students to succeed and to our families for their support. We know that this group of young people will go on to achieve great things and we wish them all the very best of luck.”
