Patrick Farmbrough has been appointed
Dear Parents / Carers
As promised, I am now able to share with you details of who will be taking over the Headship of Holmleigh Park High School from 1 September 2019. I am delighted to announce that Patrick Farmbrough has been appointed.
Mr Farmbrough brings significant school leadership experience and will work with the community to support the school’s improvement journey. He is currently the Vice Principal at the outstanding Westminster Academy in London and has an excellent track record in improving teaching and learning and delivering outcomes for students, both at GCSE and A Level.
Will Smith, CEO of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, has announced: “I am delighted to be welcoming Patrick to the Trust. Patrick brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the school and is fully committed to providing a positive learning environment to allow every student to fulfil their potential now and in the future.”
Mr Farmbrough will be taking over from me on 1 September 2019. I will continue to be closely involved with Holmleigh Park High School, as Greenshaw Learning Trust Director of Education, supporting Mr Farmbrough, the staff and students.
As previously communicated, I look forward to meeting you on Wednesday 12 June, when we will be holding a ‘Meet the Head’ evening at the school from 6.00 – 7.00pm. This will be an opportunity for you to meet with me and discuss any questions you have regarding the strategic direction of the school. Please can I reiterate that I will be unable to answer questions about individual students at that meeting, but would encourage you to continue to contact the school directly, as you have been over the past week.
Mr Farmbrough will be working closely with the school over the coming months and will hold his own ‘Meet the Head’ evening once he is in post in September.
Yours faithfully
Ben Parnell
Interim Headteacher
