Hard Work Pays Off for Sixth Formers
Our Sixth Formers were celebrating going on to the next stage of their education today, after two challenging - but successful - years of hard work.
Milan Palan achieved A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and is going on to read Biochemistry at Imperial College London. He said “I didn’t check UCAS before coming in as I wanted to get the results first, so I was shocked, speechless and incredibly excited to get 3 A*s and had got into Imperial. I’ve loved every minute of Sixth Form and want to thank all the staff for everything they’ve done for me.”
Emmy White achieved two As and a C and is going on to read Criminology at Cardiff. She said: “This is just the best feeling. Year 13 was my best school year ever, even despite COVID-19 and lockdown. The staff have been amazing.”
Charlie Northover, who achieved 2 As and a C and is off to Southampton to read Geography echoed these sentiments, saying, “I’m both relieved and delighted. Everything I ever wanted from Sixth form, I had. We’ve had the best support possible; every conversation, big or small, helped me get here today.”
Mr Farmbrough congratulated all students: "I’m delighted that all of our students’ hard work and resilience has paid off and that they’re all going on to such exciting degrees and apprenticeships. They’ve all faced so much disruption during Sixth Form, and they absolutely deserve their success today. We’re all so proud of them at Holmleigh Park and we all wish them the very best for the future.”
